Style PASS squeezes the apple out!
With the weather of the last week(s) it is very important to drink enough - and not only when doing sports. But should one fall back on special fitness drinks for this purpose, or are conventional thirst quenchers such as apple spritzer or even water sufficient?
Style PASS online has the answers!
You often hear that you can save yourself expensive, industrially produced fitness drinks and should fall back on apple spritzer instead. The sugar is performance-enhancing and would replace the calories consumed during exercise. In addition, the added mineral water should replenish the body with the lost minerals. But there is also another view: The Hanseatic health insurance company is more critical of apple spritzer.
The reasons for this:
- Not enough sodium. But we remember: with a pinch of salt the missing sodium is quickly balanced, even with apple spritzer.
- Fruit acid: If you have a sensitive stomach, you may have problems with the acidity contained in the apple spritzer. This can even lead to stomach cramps.
- The finished product from the supermarket is usually bad: The finished "mixtures" from the supermarket are least suitable as a sports drink, as they are usually made from apple juice and tap water and therefore contain no minerals.
Conclusion from Style PASS online: For recreational athletes and as a change in between, the apple spritzer is very well suited. But if you sweat a lot, you should fall back on the trick with the table salt.
In any case it is advisable to mix the apple spritzer yourself!
